We are currently starting in the Dominican Republic and are looking to expand globally as we develop an excellence programme.
We provide a safe space for young people to come and learn that are currently not in education or struggle with formal education.
Our programme is designed to be a lot more practical and give these young people the opportunity to learn and develop skills in professions they may not get the opportunity to through the formal education system.
Our centre is inviting, friendly and a safe space for the young people to express themselves where they can get specific support from trained individuals.
We are also looking to run 6-week project blocks in the public schools throughout the school year, in a variety of subjects including cooking & healthy living, sustainability, motor mechanics and film & photography.
We are running a safe space after school for young people age 11-19 three times a week where they can come and have fun and provide the opportunity to learn and develop skills through engaging projects with trained professionals.
Activities will include games such as dominoes and cards alongside projects such as cooking, creative activities, sustainability and gardening and technology. We will also be running a variety of holiday activities during the school break including exciting and creative projects at our base as well as a variety of day trips for the young people to participate in.
The reason for this is to help broaden the young people’s perspectives and open their eyes to greater possibilities and successes.
The cost of going to school in most places is considered expensive and when you live in a developing country this is even more apparent.
We have set up a sponsorship scheme where young people that we are working with on our projects that are struggling to stay in school or have dropped out due to lack of financial support, can have the opportunity to gain an education without the financial pressure behind it.
The funding they receive will go towards school uniform, stationary and any other school fees throughout the year. If you would like any more information on this please contact us in the email below and we would be happy to get in contact.
